Gayle A. Berger

Birth Date: November 22, 1942
Death Date: November 29, 2018

Gayle A. Berger, 76, of Parma Hts., peacefully passed away on November 29, 2018 at Seasons of Life Hospice with her family by her side.

She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of Violet Heiden and the late Wallace and Arda (nee French) Heiden.  Gayle was the beloved wife of 54 years to Thomas Berger, who predeceased her on September 19, 2018; devoted mother of Jim (Barb), Dave and Jill (Mike) Kazimore; cherished grandmother of Colin, Kyle, Ryan and Jimmy Berger, Gavin Berger and Emily and Nathan Kazimore; dear sister of Earl (Joan) Heiden, Carol Fields (Andy Fabris)  and sister-in-law of Pat Soderston and Marilyn (Dick) Maloney; adored aunt of many.

Words will never describe how truly wonderful Gayle was.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend to many.  She was very supportive of her kids and grandkids and appreciated every moment she got to spend with them.  She could be a firecracker, perfectionist, and quick-witted, but she also loved to laugh, giggle and have fun.  Fittingly, Gayle was a retired nurse of many years and her selflessness showed in her work.  She was a very strong woman and will be dearly missed by all of those whose lives she touched!

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 6PM-8PM in the Sunset Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted.   Committal services at the Pinewood Garden Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park will be private.

  1. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Gayle. It’s so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. Job 14:14,15 gives us confidence that Jehovah God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. The Bible gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. May this bring you some comfort and strength, remembering that soon God will wipe away our tears and swallow up death forever.
