FD Bokas
John D. Bokas, General Manager

A life resident of Northeast Ohio, John graduated from the University of Akron. He is an Ohio Licensed Funeral Director and has worked in the funeral and cemetery industry for 20 years. John is a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and is active at his church where he serves as a Eucharistic minister to the homebound, a member of the liturgy committee, and is the tenor soloist in the choir.
Jan
Jan Wathey, Office Manager

Jan Wathey came to work for Sunset Memorial Park in August,1981. She then joined Dostal Bokas Funeral Services where she currently holds the position of Office Manager.
David
David E. Royal, Chapel Manager

Though born in Youngstown , David spent most of his life in Dallas , TX . He attended West Texas State University before transferring to Dallas Institute of Funeral Services, where he graduated in 1991. With over 20 year's experience, David has assisted many families with their services and is a member of several professional organizations. David is happy to have now moved back "home" to Ohio with his wife and four children, and stays active with their sports and activities. He is a 32 degree mason and a Shriner and also enjoys golf and fishing when he is away from the office.
Darrin
Darrin J. DeCooman, Funeral Director

1998 alumnus of Washington & Jefferson College where he attained his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biology and Entrepreneurial Studies. After working for E. J. Bognar, Inc. as a laboratory specialist for the steel industry, he began his pursuit of obtaining his mortuary science degree from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Upon graduation in 2006 from PIMS, he was honored with the William J. Musmanno Memorial Award. Darrin started with Dostal Bokas Funeral Services in July 2010. He is a member of the Cleveland Embalmers and Funeral Directors Association as well as a member of Ellwood City Lodge No. 599 F.&A.M. and also is a Past Worthy Patron of Ellwood City Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 216. He currently resides in Olmsted Township and is active with Grace Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Middleburg Heights . Darrin and his dog Kasey are members of Therapy Dogs Incorporated (TDI) and Loving Paws, where they visit patients at Southwest Hospital and Metro Hospital regularly. Darrin and Kasey enjoy duck hunting often and are members of Ducks Unlimited. They both enjoy walking in the Metro Parks and along the beach and spending time with family and friends.
Kari
Kari Jennings, Funeral Director

Kari has worked for Dostal Bokas Funeral Services as a licensed funeral director and embalmer since May 2011. Born and raised on the east side of Cleveland , Kari graduated from Mentor High School and attended Ohio University , where she received an associate degree in science. At OU, she was involved with Kappa Phi and lacrosse. After graduating from OU, Kari attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. She graduated in December 2009 and did her apprenticeship on the east side and now she has become a "west-sider". She has been a life-long member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Lyndhurst . She spends a lot of time with her dog, Paisley and enjoys watching Cleveland sports.
